Lord Charles Cecil

Lord Charles Cecil is the current High Sheriff of Hertfordshire, this is an appointment made by Her Majesty The Queen and the Privy Council.  With his wife Virginia he lives in Hatfield Park, which has been the family home for four hundred years.

Lord Charles has had a career in the financial sector for 38 years. He has been a co-founder and director of companies that specialise in the management of private equity funds. He sits on a number of boards of private companies. He also is involved in an advisory capacity for a number of private groups and families

Outside of business Lord Charles served on The Council of The Children's Society and was Vice Chairman of The Rambert Dance Company. His personal interests include Travel, meeting people, bridge, reading, the arts, food, wine and sports.

Lord Charles was educated at Eton and Christ Church, Oxford where he obtained an M.A. in modern history, he is also multi-lingual.
